Lovely guesthouse. A lot of care was put into making you feel at home and conversely allowing you to be as if you were at your own home. 5 min walk from the beach. The owner and staff very nice. Overall great value for money

Welcome home - you would see this message right next to a home-made cake once you get to the immaculately clean kitchen. This place does feel like home that has been organized with love and care. The hosts thought about every single detail and what you might want to do before you did. And this goes beyond the delicious cake and restaurant recommendations, you will find it in very small details - a washing machines with capsules to use at a very small fee, sun hat and beach towels, books on the sofa table, a breakfast table set up indoors and on the terrace for different temperature preferences. We really enjoyed our stay, and the only thing we regretted was that we came across this place at the end of our journey and stayed only 2 nights.

Silvia, you made our trip amazing. Your attitude, kind heart and open soul made our stay so comfortable and great. We had a feeling as we were staying at our friend’s house. Amazing pool, amazing breakfast, amazing bed, bathroom and all the rest. We will get back again during our next Camino trip. Thank you so much P.S. the photo with our real hugs shows how great stay we had at your Guest House

I cannot recommend highly enough, myself and a friend were walking the Camino Portuguese and decided to stop here for the night. Silvia contacted me earlier in the day to make sure we had access just in case she wasn’t there when we arrived, but luckily the timings were ok and she was. The guesthouse itself is stunning, you can really tell that there has been a lot of love and time put into it. We were greeted with some port and a friendly smile, which was great after a long day of walking. Our room itself was perfect for us, we had a twin room which was of a good enough size that we had enough space for each other and our backpacks. Both the room and the bathroom were nicely designed, clean and modern. The social areas were all to the same standard, the lounge around has a nice tranquil vibe. There were great outdoor areas equipped with bean bags and a pool, I can only imagine it’s a fantastic place during the summer months. The breakfast was well presented, with a variety of options including fresh pastries and cake. We liked the place so much that we opted to stay there on our last night of the trip as well. Silvia again greeted us and had a glass of port with us on the upstairs terrace to cap off a nice evening. The next day she went above and beyond by giving us a lift to the station and helping us get the tickets for the train. This was increasingly helpful as the ticket machine wasn’t working properly and we only had a few minutes to spare. All round it was a great experience, next time I am in the same corner of Portugal, I will defiantly try and stay for at least the night. Obrigado Silvia.

We stayed in Azurara and had a really good experience overall. There was a small mix-up with our room at first, but Sílvia and Júlia sorted it quickly and were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. Sílvia was brilliant! She’s very involved with guests, always happy to help, and gave us great ideas for local places to visit, which made our trip even better. Júlia was also lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. The room itself was spotless, comfortable, and in a quiet spot near a beautiful beach. The area feels safe and peaceful, and it’s easy to get around if you have a car. Couldn’t have asked for better hosts or a nicer stay. Highly recommend!

We had the best time here, a real gem of a surf spot. The place is beautiful, clean and very well designed. Each morning we woke up to breakfast and wished we could never leave! Sylvia the hostess is a very kind and considerate person. Everyday she had ideas for planning the day, and spent a lot of time making sure all the guests were happy and looked after. We came primarily to surf (one beginner one pro), and the beach 5 minutes away was great for this. Gasper from -Surf In Surf & Sup- is able to rent boards and sort surf lessons directly from the house. Not a busy beach and there's never too many queues for waves in the water. For more experienced surfers there's a spot at the end of the harbour that has sheltered waves and for newbies there are small waves to practise on. We were also situated in the middle of a surfing coastline, so if you rent a car you can make the most of this. (also 20min drive to the airport and Porto is ideal). We also enjoyed hanging around the house, meeting the other guests, drinking wine by the pool and saying hello to the gorgeous dog next door! Thanks so much, from Bella and Sim x

Silvia, staff and friends made our stay very welcoming. The Azurara Guesthouse is ideally situated for easy access / walking distance to the beach and various restaurants. Only 25mins drive away from Porto and Porto Airport.
